TUCSON, Ariz. — Have you ever wondered what you would do if you became involved in an active shooter situation?
To prepare parents and teens for such an event, the Tuscon Police Department is holding a presentation Feb. 21. to discuss strategies when confronted with an active shooter.
Law enforcement will discuss warning signs and methods to consider if the event ever happens to you.
Included in the lecture will be discussions on the likelihood of being involved in this type of event, look backs at past tragedies and lessons learned from analyzing those events.
Since each active shooter event is different, participants will learn different techniques that require instant decision-making.
Due to a few semi graphic images and video segments, the TPD says only teens 16 and older will be allowed in.
