Two men are dead after they were shot in a car, which crashed into an apartment building in Tucson Tuesday night.
According to the Tucson Police Department, officers first responded to calls of a shooting at around 11 p.m. at an apartment complex near Tucson Boulevard and Forgeus Avenue. First responders found a Honda Civic that had crashed into a wall with two men inside who had been shot -- identified as 23-year-old Christopher Luiz Nunez and 22-year-old Bernadino Santamarina.
Police say the officers tried to save the men's lives, but the victims were pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Investigators say they determined the two men had been arguing with another group in a nearby parking lot. Then, witnesses reported gunfire when Nunez and Santamarina were in the car.
Police are still investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call 88-CRIME to anonymously report a tip.
Investigators cleared the scene in the 7 a.m. hour Wednesday morning.
