Police say vulnerable 69-year-old man is safe

Tucson police say a  vulnerable 69-year-old man who had gone missing has been found safe.

Police say Michael Kemmerer was last seen at 7:45 a.m. Sunday when he walked away from a care facility near Campbell and Fort Lowell. He functions at a younger age and needs medication for a serious medical condition.

His brother-in-law found him Monday between Canyon View Drive and Rudasill Road, west of First Avenue. He was deyhdrated and sunburned but is expected to recover.

 is a 5-foot-8-inch white man who weighs between 130 and 150 pounds. He could be wearing lime green shoes.
