TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened Saturday morning near midtown.
Police say multiple 911 calls were made in reference to a vehicle on fire in the area of 3400 block of East 34th Street around 2:00 p.m.
Upon arrival officers found a passenger vehicle fully engulfed, TPD say.
Tucson Fire Department crews were able to extinguish the fire.
Once crews put out the fire they notified officers about a dead person inside the vehicle, police say.
The death was initially classified as a suspicious death.
Police identified the deceased man found as 45- year-old Luis A. Diaz.
