TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police investigated the shooting death of a teen boy on the southside Wednesday.
Police say the call came in at 6 a.m. near Avenida Selva del Ocote and Calle Joya de Ventura in the Campbell and Drexel area.
The boy died at the scene of gunshot trauma. TPD identified him Thursday as 15-year-old Erik Isaac Nanez.
TPD says details are still limited at this time, but detectives believe multiple people were present when the shooting took place.
"Neighbors told detectives that gunshots were heard the previous evening (09/17/19) and several people and vehicles were seen leaving immediately after the shots. No 911 calls were made that night," TPD said in a statement Thursday.
If you have any information, call 911 or 88-CRIME.
