Police arrest woman after stabbing boyfriend in chest

TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing that happened Sunday night on the westside.

Police say officers responded to the area of 1600 block of West Prince Road around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival officers found the victim identified as 39-year-old Frank Wise inside the home with obvious of stab wounds to his chest.

Officers began to render aid to Wise until Tucson Fire Department took over treatment.

Police say Wise was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say officers found witnesses and the suspect who has been identified as 38-year-old Jessica Beem.

Detectives determined Wise and Beem had been dating and both had a history of domestic violence together.

Wise and Beem didn't live together, but Beem and her roommate brought Wise to the home, while they were at the home Wise and Beem went into the kitchen to get a snack when Beem grabbed a knife and stabbed Wise in the chest. according to police.

The roommate and a relative of the roommate were home during the incident, police say.

After police conducted interviews and served a search warrant Beem was arrested and booked into Pima COunty Jail for one count of second-degree murder.

The investigation is still ongoing.
