TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police identified a 16-year-old boy who died in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday.
Police say 16-year-old Kristiano Roman Yslava Owen died after crashing near the intersection of Starr Pass and Greasewood at 4:20 a.m. Sunday.
According to witnesses, Owen was heading southbound on Greasewood Road at high speed. After he went through the Starr Pass Boulevard intersection, the vehicle drifted into the northbound lanes of Greasewood and hit a block wall on the east side of the street. The vehicle stopped on the wall foundation.
A passenger was wearing a seatbelt and survived the wreck. Owen was not wearing a seatbelt.
No charges or citations have been issued.
