SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Scottsdale have identified a man who was found fatally shot at an apartment complex in what is being investigated as a homicide.
They announced Wednesday that the victim was 26-year-old Richard Chavez.
Police say Chavez's sister called 911 on Saturday after she stopped by Scottsdale Highlands Apartments and found broken glass outside the man's residence.
Officers arrived at the apartment and found Chavez dead.
Police say it doesn't appear the shooting was a random attack, but they haven't disclosed if there are any possible suspects in the homicide case.
