Tucson police placed an elementary school on lockdown Wednesday when shots were fired near the school. Police say the gun was discharged accidentally.
The school, at 461 S. Bryant Ave., was placed on lockdown while police investigated.
Officers remained at the school to investigate but had not made any arrests as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
A suspect was in custody.
