TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department says a suspect crashed after a chase involving deputies on Tucson's south side.
The suspect in the police chase has been identified as 42-year-old James Serrano.
Earlier today, police responded to a call about a stolen vehicle. During the search the vehicle was seen near 12th and Ajo.
During the pursuit the suspect struck a patrol vehicle.
After that he crashed into another vehicle on 6th Avenue and Aviation Drive.
He was then taken into custody.
Serrano has been charged with aggravated assault, theft of means of transportation, armed robbery, criminal damage, and unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement vehicle.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
