Police arrest woman for DUI, assaulting officer

Nogales police arrested a Tucson woman who allegedly assaulted an officer.

Police say Annairam D. Salmon, 19, early Sept. 3, when a DUI Enforcement Detail stopped her in a group of people on Terrace Avenue near Mix Street. Police cited her for being a minor and drinking alcohol. After she was released, another officer saw her take the wheel of a car and drive north on Interstate 19. Officers pulled her over on suspicion of DUI.

After she was booked into jail, Salmon allegedly kicked the arresting officer in the leg. She faces charges of DUI under age 21, drinking under age 21, possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated assault on a peace officer.
