Police arrest, charge man involved in double-homicide near west side

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Police Department has made an arrest in a double-homicide that happened back in June 2019.

Police identified the suspect as 61-year-old Michael Hollie who was involved in the double-homicide of Matt Alford and Lewis Jetty.

On June 17, 2019, officer found Alford and Jetty were found with obvious signs of gunshot trauma at a home near the west side.

Alford lived at the home and Jetty was a friend.

Detectives responded to the home to continue the investigation and collect evidence.

Later, detectives were able to find items believed to be stolen from Alford. They were then able to identify Hollie.

Police say detectives discovered Hollie had been arrested on several unrelated charges.

On February 21, 2020, detectives responded to Pima County Jail where Hollie was still being held.

Detectives charged Hollie with two counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery, first degree burglary, and trafficking in stolen property.
