Tucson's Pionic Pizza closes after 4 years in business

Tucson's homegrown pizza shop is closing its doors after four years in business.

Pionic Pizza's last day in operation was Monday, the restaurant's owner Scott Sinclair said.

"Summer was tough," he said. "We made a great product, but we didn't get the numbers right."

Sinclair said he knew another restaurant would be taking over the building near the intersection of North Campbell Avenue and East Mitchell Street and wished them the best of luck.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported us -- we loved serving you all for these last four years."
