PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — Pinal County Sheriff's deputy caught wrong-way driver on Hunt Highway on June 14.

Deputies say 29-year-old Octavio Arreola of San Tan Valley in a white Chevy Tahoe was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Hunt Highway near Gantzel Road.

A deputy on the DUI Task Force watched Arreola crash into another vehicle before hitting the curb.

Officials say Arreola had a blood alcohol level of .148. Arreola was nearly twice the legal limit.

Deputies say he became aggressive with officials.

Deputies say there were several open containers inside the vehicle, and deputies discovered cocaine in his pants pocket.

Arreola was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center, and turned over to ICE.

Deputies say "Arreola is facing charges of aggrevated assault with a dangerous instrument, one count of aggravated assault on a peace officer, three counts of endangerment, one count of felony criminal damage, one count of aggravated dui while driving the wrong-way on a pubic highway, and one count of reckless driving."
