A Pima County Sheriff's deputy was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at the Pima County Fair on Tuesday at around 9 p.m.
Deputy Jesus Vivaldo was transported to University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries according to Pima County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Ryan Inglett. Deputies arrested the driver, 31-year-old Daniel Doubek, who faces charges of hit and run, DUI and aggravated assault.
The car that struck the deputy remained on scene.
