TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Sierrita mine in Green Valley is closing down which means that 1,000 employees will be without a job.
Pima County's One Stop Career Center is doing what they can to help these people find jobs.
Whether you are looking for work or just want to explore a new career, One Stop will connect people with job seekers.
Specialists with the organization have been working with employees for the last few weeks to make sure that they can offer workshops for resume writing and skill assessments.
One Stop is scheduled to hold orientations every Wednesday and Thursday. It is at these workshops that they will answer questions about career planning and other skills.
They will be closed Dec. 23 and Dec. 24.
One Stop specialists will also offer job search assistance at the Sahuarita town hall every Tuesday at 6 p.m.
