El Tour de Tucson is a huge event in Southern Arizona, and now plans can move forward to help improve safety for cyclists, and motorists.
The Pima County Board of Supervisors approved a $280,000,000 contract with the organizer perimeter bicycling.
The funds will be used for traffic control services, and route layout consulting.
In previous years, various vendors handled traffic control services.
El Tour is set for November 23.
