Pima Community College social services students organized an event for Tucson residents who are currently experiencing homelessness.

The event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at Santa Rita Park, 401 E. 22nd Street.

Participants will receive a free meal from the Gospel Rescue Mission, free haircuts, and access to free clothing and hygiene products.

There will also be live music, games and jumping castles for the children.

Ex NFL player Jeff Markland will be speaking at the event.

Several elected officials have been invited to the event, including City Council member, Richard Fimbres and staff member Mark Kerr as well as County Supervisor Richard Elias.
