PHOENIX (AP) - Police say a man fired his gun at officers who were responding to an unruly house party but that they were not injured.
The incident took place around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday as Phoenix police arrived at a house party involving juveniles.
Police encountered a fight taking place in front of the house when they arrived. Shortly after, a man fired his gun at a 49-year-old police sergeant and a 27-year-old officer. Neither was injured.
Police say the younger officer returned gunfire but the suspect fled the area.
Witnesses told police the suspect had a "long gun" but police were not able to find him.
