Phoenix police officers unhurt after being shot

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say some officers evaded injury when they were shot at and a suspect is in custody.
    
Police Sgt. Vince Lewis says the incident happened Sunday shortly before 7 a.m. in a residential area near 63rd Avenue and McDowell Road.
    
Lewis says officers were investigating a report of shots being fired when someone shot at them.
    
He says at least one officer returned fire.
    
No injuries have been reported and a suspect has been arrested.
    
Investigators are at the scene.
