PHOENIX (AP) - Police have released the name of a woman who was fatally struck by a pickup truck while crossing a Phoenix street.
They say 49-year-old Dawn Christa Cash was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday night.
Police say Cash and a 55-year-old man were crossing at an intersection when they were struck.
Witnesses say the truck had a green light at the time.
Police say the man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and is expected to survive. His name hasn't been released.
According to police, the 84-year-old man driving the truck was evaluated after the crash and it was determined that he wasn't impaired.
Speed also doesn't appear to be a factor.
Police say the incident remains under investigation.
