PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix have identified a man who was fatally shot by officers after he allegedly carjacked a semitruck.
They say the suspect killed last week was 46-year-old Miguel Angel Duran Delgado.
Officers responded last Thursday afternoon to a reported armed robbery in a commercial lot.
Police say Delgado approached a semitruck, pointed a rifle at the driver and motioned him out of the truck, then drove it a short distance before stopping.
Delgado reportedly got out of the semitruck and ignored officers' orders to surrender.
Police fired several non-lethal rounds at Delgado before he was shot.
He later died at a hospital.
