Police in Phoenix say they have arrested a man wanted in connection with an officer-involved shooting.

They say 32-year-old Hector Enriquez was taken into custody around 2 a.m. Tuesday following a barricade situation.

Police say a woman was also taken into custody on unrelated charges.

They say Enriquez and the woman fled a traffic stop Monday morning and left a Phoenix police officer injured when they allegedly dragged him as they drove away.

The officer then opened fire as the suspects fled.

The policeman suffered road rash injuries.

Enriquez was booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated assault on police.
