PetSmart donated 150,000 pounds of dog food to Pima Animal Care Center.
Pima County Animal Care Center typically spends more than $80,000 a year on dog food.
The donation from PetSmart will last the shelter a year and a half. It will provide meals for more than 20,000 dogs in need and allowing the shelter to use their funds elsewhere.
The donation by PetSmart brings the total number of meals provided by PetSmart’s philanthropic pet food brands in the past several months to one million meals.
