Tucson firefighters were on the scene of a kitchen fire near the 400 block of North Avenida Felicidad Sunday morning.
According to TFD, the 59-year-old resident was able to evacuate her home safely, but her pet bird died in the fire.
It took 11 units and 23 firefighters 16 minutes to control the flames.
The Red Cross will be assisting the woman who has been displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
