TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -- A pedestrian was struck on Wetmore between 1st and Stone late Friday night.
The adult male was crossing the Wetmore when he was struck by a vehicle according to Sgt. Peter Dugan of the Tucson Police Department.
Authorities have the area shut down as they investigate.

According to Sgt. Dugan the pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained on scene, is cooperating with authorities and did not show signs of impairment.
