PHOENIX (AP) - Police say they're searching for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian was killed in west Phoenix.
They say the fatal accident happened about 2 a.m. Sunday near the area of 79th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Police say 26-year-old Quintell Coffman was in the roadway for reasons unknown when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Authorities say Coffman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for any information on the fatal collision and the whereabouts of the suspect and the vehicle involved.
