A 47-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle north of downtown on Thursday, Oct. 23.
According to a news release from Tucson Police Department, the man was on the sidewalk on the south side of the 200 block of East Yavapai Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound before leaving the roadway.
The pedestrian's identity is being withheld pending next of kin identification.
The investigation remains ongoing.
