A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle at 22nd Street and Bryant Thursday night.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan with the Tucson Police Department, 47-year-old Arnulfo Bustamante was running southbound across 22nd Street at the intersection of South Bryant Avenue. As he entered the curb lane, he was struck by a vehicle.
Tucson Fire transported Bustamante to Banner UMC with life-threatening injuries. He died hours later.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. Speed does not appear to have been a factor in the collision.
Due to signs of possible impairment, a DUI investigation was conducted. Detectives are awaiting results.
