TUCSON, Ariz. — Sheriff Napier with the Pima County Sheriff's Department has been invited to testify before the U.S. Congress on April 30, in Washington D.C.
According to PCSD, Sheriff Napier will speak about current conditions on the southern border.
"He will discuss the current nature of the crisis we face and emphasize the need for additional resources to support border communities along with the aspiration for a comprehensive bipartisan solution to move us forward," PCSD said in a statement.
He was invited to attend as a representative of the SW Border Sheriffs' Coalition and as the Chair of the Border Security Committee of the Major County Sheriffs of America, PCSD says.
