TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department have issued a community alert due to two separate incidents Friday.
PCSD says deputies responded to a shooting at a Quik Mart on 4200 East Benson Highway around 9:00 p.m.
Deputies say one person was hurt and taken to the hospital.
There are no further details about this incident or information about suspects.
In a separate incident, deputies responded to an accident involving a pedestrian with injuries near the intersection of Valencia Road and Settler Avenue around 9:30 p.m.
PCSD says westbound Valencia Road is shut down. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
There are no further details regarding this incident. Roads are now open.
The two incidents are currently under investigation.
