TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department identified a man who died in a hit-and-run crash near the southwest side Jan. 6.
According to deputies, the pedestrian, identified as 43-year-old Marty Huaraque has died.
Deputies say the crash happened at Cardinal Avenue North of Valencia Road.
KGUN9 spoke with PCSD, they say deputies were for a 1999 Silver Mustang GT with a missing front bumper.
On Jan. 21, deputies were able to locate the suspect identified as 32-year-old Gabriel Yrigolla.
Yrigolla was arrested and booked into Pima County Adult Detention Center.
Deputies say Yrigolla has been charged with failure to remain on the scene of a fatal collision, and tampering with evidence.
The 1999 Silver Mustang GT invovled has been found and taken for evidence.
