TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue deputies responded to a hiker rescue in Finger Rock trailhead Sunday morning.
PCSD says it was reported around 10:30 a.m. that a 67-year-old male that had fallen unconscious while hiking on the trail.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that the man was experiencing a medical emergency, according to PCSD. He was air lifted off the trail by the Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter and taken to a local hospital.
No further details were released about his condition.
