TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on the north side Saturday.
Deputies and Northwest Fire District medics responded to the crash just before 11 p.m. at Magee Road at Paseo Del Norte.
Upon arrival deputies discovered a single occupant vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Magee had collided with an SUV with three occupants traveling westbound in the intersection, according to PCSD.
Two passengers in the SUV died on scene, and the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The two passengers were identified as 24-year-old Luanna Encinas and 41-year-old Priscilla Tamez.
The driver of the single occupant vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the single occupant vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Shane Mabe who was arrested for two counts of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, criminal charges, and DUI, according to PCSD.
Investigators are conducting an investigation for the crash.
