TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash on Gates Pass Road Saturday.
PCSD says deputies were called out to the area of 4800 block of West Gates Pass Road around 11:40 a.m. for a single-vehicle crash.
The initial investigation showed that the vehicle was traveling westbound, when it left the roadway and struck a gate on the property in the area.
The driver of the vehicle 65-year-old Oak Kanis was pronounced dead on the scene.
Traffic Unit detectives responded to take over the investigation.
No further details were released.
