Panasonic's Future Life Factory is developing a new device aimed at improving concentration in the workplace.
The device is called Wear Space and is intended to block out distractions in busy offices.
According to Dezeen, the device is similar to horse blinders and blocks out user's horizontal field of vision by 60 percent. It's made of a curbed strip of flexible material and has a pair of noise-canceling headphones on the inside.
In an interview with Dezeen, the company spoke about the benefits of this device. "As open offices and digital nomads are on the rise, workers are finding it ever more important to have personal space where they can focus," said the company. "Wear Space instantly creates this kind of personal space – it's as simple as putting on an article of clothing."
Wear Space is still in the prototype phase and currently has an ongoing crowdfunding campaign until December 11, 2018.
