Nineteen cats were recovered from a home on Tucson's east side on Tuesday.
Adam Ricci, Field Services Manager with Pima Animal Care, says their field officers responded to the 7400 block of East Calle Arturo to assist the Tucson Police Department.
Nineteen cats were recovered from the home. Ten cats had been surrendered to Pima Animal Care earlier in the week.
PACC had previous contact with the owner, said Ricci.
The medical team is working on saving the cats, but the outlook for all of the cats is good.
The owner of the cats had been working with authorities to surrender the animals, and no citations have been issued.
The cats are not immediately available for adoption.
