PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — Pima Animal Care Center is waiving adoption fees for the nationwide campaign "Clear the Shelters" Saturday.
All pets at least four months old will have no adoption fee. A $20 licensing fee is applied to all adult dogs.
PACC says there were 122 adoptions Saturday.
PACC says they are planning other events for clear the shelter day, including a canine fashion show, giveaways, and more. Friend's of PACC will also provide demonstrations for TOP Dogs Project. This group helps train PACC dogs with behvaioral needs.
Anyone can visit the PACC website ahead of time to see available pets.
PACC is located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, and open Monday through Friday from noon-7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
