Looking to adopt a pet in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas? The Pima Animal Care Center is offering several adoption promotions throughout the month so pets in need of a home before the holidays can be adopted.
PACC is waiving adoption fees for pets four months and older at three PetSmart stores Nov. 9-11th. The event starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. at the following locations - PetSmart at Oracle Road and Wetmore Road, PetSmart at El Con Mall, PetSmart at Irvington and I-19.
PACC is also honoring the nation's veterans by offering free pet adoptions to members of the military. Starting Nov. 9 through Nov. 12, military members can present a valid military ID to get the discount. Hours for the shelter on Veterans Day is noon-5 p.m.
PACC is closed on Thanksgiving but will be open on Black Friday from noon-5 p.m. There will be a "Black Fur Day" discounted that day, meaning adoption fees will be waived for any pet with black fur, ages four months and up.
For all these promotions, a $19 licensing fee will apply to dogs. For more information about the PACC, click here.
