ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Authorities are searching for a suspicious man who attempted to get a high school student in his car on Friday.
Lt. Kara Riley with OVPD said a student was walking near Calle Concordia and Oracle Road around 2 p.m. on Friday when a man approached the student and offered him a ride.
The suspect asked the student four or five times to enter his car and the student told him no, said Riley.
The driver is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 50-years-old, with a grey and black mustache and a wrinkled face. The van is believed to be a forest green 1990's minivan with plastic hub caps that were cracked.
In a press release, OVPD stated they would like to remind everyone to talk to their children about what to do if they are approached by a stranger. Never enter a car of someone you do not know, leave the area as fast as possible, tell a parent or police immediately if a stranger approaches you, and remember saying "if you see it say it."
