Oro Valley police responded to a multi-vehicle car accident on southbound Oracle at Pusch View Saturday morning.

Three vehicles were involved in the wreck, according to Anne-Marie Braswell, spokeswoman for the Golder Ranch Fire Department.

Braswell says crews had to extricate a person who was trapped in one of the vehicles.

The person, and one other patient were transported to Banner University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash happened after a driver rear-ended another car, which then rear-ended another, according to OVPD spokeswoman Kara Riley.

Riley says the alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision. The at-fault driver is being investigated for driving under the influence.

It is not yet clear whether the at-fault driver has been arrested.
