Oro Valley Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday around noon at the Washington Federal Bank located at 8001 N. Oracle Road.
Initial reports say the suspect told the teller, "This is a robbery," and said he had a gun, according to OVPD.
The suspect then lifted his shirt and showed a black, semi-automatic handgun that was tucked into his pants.
He was given an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot, headed south.
Authorities say everyone is safe.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40's with an average build. In surveillance photos, he has shoulder-length black hair, but authorities say that is likely a wig.
