Crews are responded to an overturned Pima County Sheriff's vehicle at La Cholla and Overton on Saturday afternoon.
Inglett says the deputy was heading westbound with his lights on responding to a call. Two cars that were traveling eastbound pulled over to the side of the road to yield to the deputy but the width of the shoulder left the cars still partially in the road.
A Jeep was then traveling eastbound and tried to avoid the pulled over cars and ended up clipping one of the cars. The Jeep then hit the deputy's vehicle which caused the vehicle to go into an embankment and roll over.
The Jeep also clipped the second car that was pulled over after colliding with the deputy's vehicle.
The deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The road is expected to be closed for another two hours.
