Over 700 pairs of shoes will be distributed to children in need attending the annual Tucson Indian Center Social Pow-Wow today at Safford Magnet School.
Children will get to personalized their new pair of BOBS from SKECHERS from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at this event. There will also be a dancing competition, a drum group, and vendors selling crafts and traditional Native American refreshments.
The donation of these shoes is made possible by the partnership of SKECHERS, Shoe Carnival, and the national nonprofit Delivering Good with the Tucson Indian Center.
So far, this movement has donated new shoes to more than 14 million kids in the U.S. and more than 30 countries worldwide, according to a SKECHERS media release.
