TUCSON, Ariz. — The Old Pueblo is getting national recognition again -- this time for a magazine for those who love the outdoors.
Tucson landed a spot on Outside Magazine's list of "The 12 Best Places to Live in 2019," published earlier this month.
Outside mentions the city's numerous options for bikers, climbers and even foodies -- specifically citing Mt. Lemmon, The Loop, Tucson Mountain Park and the Menlo Park neighborhood.
The magazine describes the stereotypical Tucsonan as "[t]he burrito-fueled cyclist who’s unafraid of hill climbs, cactus needles, or riding singletrack at night to escape the summer heat."
They also mention Tucson's designation as a "Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy" -- the only American city to earn such an honor.
Also on the list were Atlanta; Little Rock, Arkansas; Miami; Charleston, South Carolina and Minneapolis.
