Oro Valley voters will head to the polls in November to vote on a proposed $17 million sports complex.

The town council voted yesterday to call a special bond election on November 7.

The bond would be paid through a secondary property tax that sunsets after 20 years.

Oro Valley officials say they'll release more information about what that means for taxpayers in the coming days.

The deadline to register for the election is October 9.

The proposed plan includes three multi-sport fields, a baseball and softball complex, lighting, restrooms, shade structures, pedestrian improvements, landscape and irrigation, site furnishings, a playground and more.
