The Marana Police Department is doing an internal investigation for computer tampering and four officers are under investigation, according to Sgt. Chriswell Scott with Marana Police.
One of those officers is 31-year-old Dionysius Cazares who was fired last month.
KGUN9 obtained the indictment that states Cazares is being charged with two counts of computer tampering to obtain confidential information, which is a felony.
The document states back in September, Cazares was exceeding authorization by knowingly obtaining information required by law to be kept confidential or records that were not public record.
The indictment also states she accessed a computer or computer system belonging to the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System.
Officer Daniel Nicholas and Kyla Sylvia resigned and now an additional officer is under investigation indirectly related to Cazares' termination, according to Sgt. Scott.
"Our community can trust their officers to make the right decisions, to maintain uncompromised integrity, and to protect them from those who would do them harm," said Sgt. Scott. "We hold our officers to high standards. When those standards are not upheld, we will hold ourselves accountable."
Last month Cazares entered a not-guilty plea. Her next court date is November 16th.
