Officers arrest Walmart shoplifting suspects

TUCSON, Ariz. - Sahuarita Police arrested two shoplifting suspects Monday night.

According to the Sahuarita Police Department, officers responded to the Walmart located at 18680 S. Nogales Highway in reference to a trespass call.

The investigation revealed that 35-year-old Darrick Thomas uploaded receipts, not belonging to him, to the Walmart app on his phone. Thomas then entered the store, gathered the items listed, and left the store without paying for them.

He then put on an AZ Department of Corrections shirt, approached customer service, and attempted to return the items.

A female suspect, 33-year-old Tiffany Weilburg, was also involved in this incident.

Both suspects were arrested on the following charges:

  • Impersonating a peace officer
  • Organized retail theft
  • Shoplifting
  • Criminal trespass
