Northwest Fire crews responded to a house fire Friday night.
According to Fire Captain Brian Keeley, the first unit arrived on the scene at 5:23 p.m. in the 1200 block of W Schafer Drive to find light smoke coming form the home.
Crews entered the home and quickly put out the fire and contained to the kitchen area.
A dog was found inside and was taken outside to its owners.
NW Fire says the owners were not home when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
