TUCSON, Ariz. — A K9 officer in southern Arizona is hanging up his leash after nearly six years of service.
Tractor joined the Nogales Police Department in August 2013 at 2 years old, but his service has spanned many agencies and duties.
According to a Facebook post from the department, Tractor has worked with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff, HSI, DEA, Border Patrol and more. He also has an impressive track record -- the department says he was responsible for the seizure of more than 30,000 pounds of drugs and $250,000 of currency during his service.
Tractor was also a visible pup in the community. NPD says he participated in numerous school presentations and D.A.R.E. graduations.
